In the 2010's you would have found Phillip fronting the Phillip Fox Band at any one of the southern rockers' 600 performances from the Eastern seaboard to the Rocky Mountains. But on the road, the food is bad, recording at highway speeds is impossible, and there's a shocking lack of small children calling you "Daddy" and giving you hugs when you're feeling lonely.
So in 2017, Phillip shut down his band, became the primary caregiver for his son and daughter, put together a home recording studio, and began an artistic experiment of peanut butter and banana sandwiches. His sandwiches have won no awards save for the smiling sticky faces of his children, but his writing, recording, and releasing a song a month on Patreon garnered him a steady patron base for six years.
Today you can find Phillip on stage with Full Moon Fever, Ohio's premier Tom Petty tribute experience or on very select stages where he'll use his road-hewn and studio-sharpened chops to share from his deep songwriting catalog.
